Je ne vous ai pas encore parlé du shopping à LA, bizarrement je n’ai pas flambé des masses, c’est vrai que les friperies sont géniales: les ribambelles de bottes à 20$, le paquet de fringues autrement plus exploitables que nos friperies parisiennes et leurs tissus nylon de mémé vendus 30e le chiffon …. Et je devrais logiquement vous raconter mes mega craquages, prendre en photo mon tas de bottes et mes habits de lumière 70′s … Mais non, même pas, je n’ai pas eu l’âme fouilleuse, je me suis contentée de me balader et d’admirer de loin, tout simplement car fouiller des friperies (géantes) ça prend du temps ! (et le temps, ça manque cruellement quand on a un Studio Universal à visiter, un casino à aller faire flamber, des stars à aller paparazzer et une plage à aller Baywatchiser ! )

Alors, je n’ai pas fripé comme il se doit, mais j’ai quand même Urban-Outtfitté, et je pense que ce pantalon soldé à 9$ vaut bien une petite perle de friperie que j’aurais pu rater ( Non, je me rassure comme je peux, j’ai du en rater des trucs déments quand même …)

Encore une fois je me plante avec ma valise : quasi vide à l’arrivée et lestée d’à peine 2 kg au retour ! ( Bon, sachant que mon pantalon pèse 100gr, ça laisse quand même quelques petits souvenirs à vous montrer encore !

I’ve not yet written about shopping in LA : strangely enough, I didn’t spend much money, and it’s true that the thrift shops are great : many boots at $20, tons of clothes much more wearable than the clothes we find in our Paris second hand shops with dowdy nylon fabric sold at 30 euros for a piece of rag … I should tell you about all my buys, show you the pictures of my boots as well as my 70′s sparkling costume … None of this, I even didn’t rummage, I’ve just looked round, just because rummaging in such (big) stores takes so much time ! (and there’s not much time left when you want to visit Studio Universal, to gamble in a casino, to be a paparazzi and « Baywatch » the beach !).

So, I didn’t buy anything in secondhand shops but I went at Urban Outfiters and I think that these pants sold at $9 must easily be worth the treasure I would have missed in a thrift shop (No, in fact, I try to reassure myself. Really, I’m sure I’ve missed amazing things …).

Once again, I got my calculations wrong with my suitcase : nearly empty as I arrived in LA and 2 kg overweight on my return ! (well, considering that the pants weigh 100 g., there’s still room enough for some souvenirs to show you !

+ Aller bouger mes fesses à un concert qui dépote ( Lady Gaga, Daft Punk, Black Eyed Peas …) Frissons Garantis!
+ Comme 90% des filles normalement constituées, d’une dizaine de paire de chaussures : Ça, ca et ça puis toujours ça et ça etc … Ce qui me permettrait de laisser un peu tranquille mes boots à brides que j’ai du mal à lâcher, la bonne excuse!
+ De valider un des 5 week end sur mesure que je viens de créer sur expédia et de passer le nouvel an à l’étranger, arrgh malheur ça me tente terriblement tout ça …

+ Like 90% of girls, I want about ten pairs of shoes : here, there and these one, these and these too and so on … . This would enable me to leave my buckle strap boots in peace, I have difficulty parting with them, that’s a fine excuse !
+ To confirm one out of the 5 tailor-made journeys I’ve just created on Expedia to go away for a weekend and spend the New Year holidays abroad, arrgh, sad, all that is very tempting ..

Je suis une piètre couturière, j’aurais aimé savoir coudre pourtant, mais je suis trop impatiente, tout me rend dingue très vite ! Alors c’est un petit exploit que je viens de réaliser là : Relier un bout de tissu pour en faire une jupe ! ( Et couper le tissu droit ! Ça fait donc 2 exploits!) Ce bout de tissu argenté je l’avais acheté initialement pour faire un truc assez conceptuel sur les murs de mon salon, j’ai vite abandonné l’idée, dépassée par la technique! Le mur du salon qui fini en jupe, c’est plutôt une bonne fin non? d’autant plus que je cherchais une mini dans ce style, certainement que je finirais par en trouver une plus belle et mieux finie, surtout que je pense que celle là aura une durée de vie assez limitée! Bise

I’m a very poor dressmaker, yet, I would have loved to be able to sew, but I’m not patient, and it drives me mad very quickly ! So, I have the feeling that I’ve achieved something : to sew together a piece of fabric and make a skirt with it ! (and cut the fabric straight ! And this is the second feat !). Initially, I bought this silvery fabric to make something quite conceptual on the walls in my living room, I quickly gave up because I completely get out of my depth ! A living room wall that ends in a skirt, its’ a rather nice end, isn’t it ? Since I was looking for that style of mini skirt. I surely will find another one, more beautiful and well-finished. Especially, because I think this one will have a quite short life ! xxx
