I’m always full of ideas but don’t have enough determination to materialize them … But sometimes, I take the plunge … May I show you ?
Going through the Asos sales, I stumbled upon these two pairs of boots at a super bargain price ! Leather boots and a beautiful basic shape ! An ideal base for my tests … I first thought to stick two big bows on the black ones, plain and simple, but why escape the truth ? I can’t make beautiful bows with ribbon. So, I decided to get back to these things later and try to find ready-made ones !
For the brown shoes, I bought an antique golden paint and golden spangles in different sizes. For the colour of the leather, I had in mind Mathieu’s aged-aspect gold boots by Martin Margiela and I wanted to make a gradation with the spangles. I put a high dose of spangles on the toe and with a paintbrush I applied them gradually by taping the brush so to put less and less spangles and give this gradation effect !
That’s it ! It’s just like I imagine it ! I adore the rendering ! Now, I just have to vacuum 100 x the carpet, the place where I did that : Glitter forever !
