That’s it, This is It, my New York buys … A few little things are missing, still in the back of my suitcase, that will stay open there, in a corner, not quite empty, waiting for the next travel. Bad organisation !

1- Hand made over-the-knee boots by Steven by Steve Madden, they are sublime, a limited edition, the saleslady explained me the how and the why and told me about the tribe whose name is unpronounceable … I couldn’t resist !

2- This picture is an assortiment coming from many shops : The MoMA store, Kidrobot and the street vendors during the night of the 31st …

3- I also get a lot of makeup, NARS, fake nails from the Gaga Workshop at Barney’s, Buxom lip gloss whose reference is Betty ! a Buxom eye shadow whose reference is Poodle (I adore poodles, it was so much emotions !)

4- An aqua green studded bucket bag and a floral skinny jeans with roses pattern from Urban Outfitters

5- This Proenza Schouler of exquisite beauty from the new collection, I’ve a real crush on it !

6- Cupcake flavored toothpaste !! Who could resist ? Also available with bacon flavor ! Crazy Urban Outfitters !

7- Everywhere I go, Giuseppe always haunts me. In New York it’s the end of the sales time ! So, I grasped at these shoes I already coveted here !

8- GAga cakes in shape of GAga shoes from the GAga shop at Barney’s

9- Oh! and of course, a few nail polish

10- And finally, a pair of Tsumori Chisato, you’ll see better in a next post !

That’s it, Bye Bye Big Apple, Welcome Paris. Each time we get back from a trip, the very first human being we get in contact with is a Taxi driver ! Having taken New York Taxis rather often, I say : Get ready to ruuuummmmble !!! Ding-dong !

Paris Taxis VS New York Taxis

1st round : Yellow cabs all have a little screen inside, giving the news / weather forecast / ads on a continuous loop. What’s more, they all have an automatic scan for Cards which is accepted in every cab. You just have to « swipe » your Card, no need to enter a code, nothing to do, it’s quick and effective ! … Cool ! VS. We arrive in Paris CDG, we wait at least 15 mn and finally find a taxi that accepts a bank card. Then, during the ride, the driver changes his mind and asks us to withdraw cash at an ATM, because, everything considered, it’s not really convenient for him to accept our card !! (WTF bastard !) … NY : 1 point / Paris : Absolute zero !

2nd round : Then, come the way they drive. Yellows cabs are mad, the drivers zigzag between the cars, in jerking motions, they slow down suddenly and you get shaken about, from right to left on the back seat. Even if it’s funny, that’s enough to make you feel nauseous … By comparison, in Paris the taxi ride is first-rate. NY 1 point / Paris 1 point

3rd round : There’s a major difference and this picture illustrates it very well ! In NY all you have to do is to raise your hand and right away, there’s 10 taxis at your finger tips, the cab fare is not expensive, that’s great ! Paris ? Hello? Hello? Anybody here ? A taxi in the distance ? Oh no, perhaps another there ? No, nothing : NY : 2 points / Paris : 1 point

NY wins hands down (oh ! A taxi ) !!! Ding dong !

My Alexis Mabille sequined down jacket x Pyrenex, I finally wear it. Do you remember, I bought it in March ? !! You have certainly noticed that this time I’ve tried to travel « light » (I took 3 coats with me ). except for the coats, I went easy on clothes : 3 skinnies, 3 jumpers, 1 shirt, 2 shorts, 3 pairs of shoes. Easy; in fact ! Just in anticipation of cleaning out the shops ! A sort of BIG BIG BIG raid. Come on, roughly I would say : 4 bags, 3 pairs of shooooes, 2 skinnies, 1 shorts, some makeup etc etc …
