Et ce même jogging mais avec des talons haut ? Impensable, à moins de passer un casting pour confessions intimes ou d’être la petite amie de Cletus ! Alors imaginez l’équation : Jogging + Talons + Blouson en cuir verni? Vous auriez fait une syncope ! ( Moi aussi d’ailleurs!)

Flashback, let’s take a look 10 years back. If somebody had told you : A slouchy, soft and fleecy sweatsuit, you would have answered : yes, but just to walk the dog or to do gymnastics ! And what about wearing this sweatsuit with high heels ? Unthinkable, unless you go to an audition at the Jerry Springer Show, or unless you are Cletus‘ girfriend ! So, just imagine the equation : sweatsuit + high heels + patent leather jacket ? You would have had a blackout ! (and so did I, for that matter).
Well, in other words ? Everything can happen …

Vous allez me traiter d’instable météorologique, mais des journées d’automne comme aujourd’hui je trouve ça très agréable et j’en redemande … Il fait bon, pas trop froid mais un peu quand même, des petits rayons de soleil par ci par là… Et puis c’est beau tout simplement, surtout au détour d’une allée parsemée de feuilles mortes aux 10 000 tons différents… Le parfait cliché sur l’Automne ! Bon, on se dit quoi ? Bon début de week end … à l’avance, et pas trop de castagne chez H&M hein !

And I ask for more … The weather is nice, not too cold but just a little all the same, here and there are sunbeams … It’s simply beautiful, above all with the dead leaves that lie scattered over the ground at the bend in a path. With 10,000 different shades … It’s the perfect cliché of Autumn ! . Well, what else ? Have a nice weekend … in advance. Not too much fights at H&M, eh !

Et dire qu’il y a 2 ans à peine, même des petites talonnettes m’auraient donné le vertige, et dire que j’étais juste incapable de marcher plus de 3min et demi avec 5cm de talons …. Et dire que j’arrive maintenant à courir sur des pavés avec 10cm… Alors on pourrait croire que je suis en train de vous narguer ( et vous me souhaitez secrètement de m’étaler de tout mon long pour avoir osé dire ça* ) Non en fait c’est plutôt une note d’espoir pour toutes les handicapées du talon! Comme celle que j’ai été 2 ans auparavant : j’avais baissé les bras! Résignée, je me mentais à moi même en me disant que les talons haut finalement c’est mooche! Et puis à force de pratique, 4cm, puis 7cm … j’y suis arrivé!
* Non je n’échappe pas à la règle, un bon petit roulé boulé de temps en temps dans la rue me remet les idées en place : Personne ne maitrise vraiment le port du talon vertigineux! Retour à la case départ !
To think, only just 2 years ago, even flatties would have made me feel dizzy, to think I just couldn’t walk more than 3 minutes and a half with 5 cm high heels … To think that now, I can run on cobblestones with 10 cm heels. You may think I thumb my nose at you (and you secretly want me to fall flat on the ground, just because I dare say that * ). No, actually, it’s just a note of hope for those who feel handicapped wearing heels ! So was I two years ago : I gave up. I was resigned to it, I was fooling myself, trying to convince myself that after all, high heels aren’t nice ! I keep on practising, 4 cm, then 7 cm and so on, and I was successful in my efforts !
* No, There’s no exception to the rule, sometimes I twist my ankle in the street and that will teach me : no one can master the wearing of dizzy high heels ! Back to square one !
